Campfire Cooking.

Last night was another good night to be outside enjoying nature. I got home from work and let the puppers outside. They started tearing ass through the yard rolling in the leaves. It's the perfect temperature for our two bigger dogs. Funny how a temperature change can really energize animals.

I was standing inside watching them have a blast and it made me really want to be outside as well. So of course I did what I've been doing a lot of this autumn. I started a fire. I also needed to make dinner. But I didn't want to be inside. Hmmm.. what to do...

Que a campfire dinner! I picked up this little campfire cooking pan a few months ago. It's actually used for making pop corn over an open fire. Who says it can't be used for other food I thought. So I tossed some butter and red cabbage in there and started cooking. It worked great. Along with the cabbage I made pork and pepper shish kebabs.

It was quick, It was fun, And it was delicious.

I'll be looking into the Halloween forecast later on this weekend. And also a sneak peak into what the first couple weeks of November will hold. Some colder blasts of air will be pushing south for sure. All this coming up soon.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice weekend. And get outside! It's amazing out there.
