Welcome!
If you're reading this blog, you're more than likely someone in my family. You probably got here well, because I referred you here. Because I told you I started up a casual blog again. About the weather and nature of course. This is me I mean.
This blog isn't going to be much like my original weather blog. Which a little fun fact! Is still up! It's not in use however. I haven't posted in that blog in a LONG time. I feel like it's ran it's course. Still I cannot bring myself to delete it. I really grew that blog. Build it up from nothing. Even had it featured in the local news paper once. Then I got a job and had to face the fact that I no longer had time for a hobby of that magnitude. I took a good 4 years off of the weather. I finally feel like it's something I can get back into. Not to the extreme that I was of course. I still don't have the time to dedicate to it as I once did. But I wanted to have a place again where I could post small forecasts every once in a while. Not everyday, or even every week for that matter. But when I feel the need. This time it will be for my own personal pleasure. And maybe yours as well. If you missed my geeky weather blog. Or just missed my many typos and horrible writing skills :)
Anyway. Now that you know what this blog will be about. And hopefully you don't have high expectations. Here is my first post!
One of the many things that is different from my old weather blog is the fact that I no longer live in Indiana. So "Justin's Indiana Weather Blog" just doesn't work for me anymore lol. It wouldn't make sense for me not to take part in my current local weather. As I said above "If you're reading this blog, you're more than likely someone in my family". So you already know I now live in NY State. Still I felt the need to say so.
Here in the awesome city of Rochester, we have been slowly floating into fall. One of many great things about my new region I call home is that we actually have a fall. The trees are almost at peak color as I type this. We have had cool crisp nights and early mornings. Followed by bright blue skies, light winds and crunchy leaves underfoot. It's been perfect bonfire weather.
And I've had a fire at least two to three times a week over the past three weeks. It's been happening so much lately that tonight when my wife came home she said "I didn't expect that I'd find you on the couch, and I was right. I knew you'd be in the back yard by the fire again". And so I was.

I just wanna soak the season in! The seasons between summer and winter don't seem to last long in Rochester. Believe it or not I actually think we will see snowflakes in the Rochester and Buffalo areas before Halloween! If I typed that in my Indiana blog that would've been nonsense! Snow before Halloween in central Indiana is very rare.
