Christmas Forecast And More

Hey bloggers.

It's been a pretty productive weekend. I know I said I'd be back soon with a Christmas day forecast. However I got a little behind. The question is, "What did you get behind with?". Well we celebrated my wife's birthday a little early for one lol. So because her birthday is actually on December 23rd, it can make it hard for friends and or family to get together with her. With Christmas being so close most people end up having other plans. So we try to celebrate a little early.

I tried to put together something I figured she'd enjoy. We had a couple friends come over to the house for pizza and games. But every party needs a theme right? Well, my wife and I are both mega fans of a TV show called The Office. Surely you've heard of it. Well, there is an iconic scene in the show where Dwight and Jim try to throw together a birthday party for a co-worker named Kelly. Long story short. It's doesn't go as planed. Check out the scene in this video below.

So now that you've watched the video, you will understand the theme I did for my wife lol. The brown and silver balloons. The plain sign. And just overall poor decorations lol.
As you can see from this next image below. My wife was pretty thrilled with the theme. I even got her a cake. The most plain cake I could fine. With nothing more than her name written on it. It was hilarious and we all had a nice time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE! She's turning the big 26!

What else was I busy with? Well, reading of course. I keep track of how many books I read every year. Well, I shouldn't say every year. I've been keeping a yearly count for the past two years. However I keep a list of every book I've ever read and how many pages each book has.

You probably find this odd. I understand. I actually started doing this because I came across a Reddit post about a guy who has done this his whole life. Into his old age. For some reason I found it really cool. So I started doing the same thing.

Anyway!

Last year I read 13 books. That was huge for me considering I never use to enjoy books. I'd read maybe one or two every couple years.

Well, this year I surpassed my record. Setting the new record at 32 books! 32 books and 12,802 pages! WOW. Take a look.
I think it's pretty easy to tell who my favorite author is just by looking at the above picture. As 10 of those 32 books are Stephen King. There are actually three authors that hold a special place in my reading heart. Stephen King of course! Also John Sandford, and of the two I have read, I enjoy Jennifer McMahon.
So yes, Busy I have been. But I've been busy doing things I enjoy. And that makes it okay.

Now as promised. Here is a quick peak at your Christmas day forecast.
Unfortunately it's not looking like a white Christmas this year. The average high for Lafayette, IN for this time of year is right around 38* degrees. I'm expecting a high on Christmas day of 53* degrees. That's a good 15 degrees above average! It's gonna feel like spring out there. Which is why I truly think Santa may kick back for a few when he gets to Indiana and catch some sun rays! Maybe leave out some lemonade for the big guy this year.

It won't be much better for us here in the Rochester, NY area either.
We also have an average high this time of year right around 38* degrees. I'm look for a high here in Rochester, of 45* degrees. Still a good 7 degrees above average. Mostly cloudy skies expected. It may not be a white Christmas here either however it'll feel a little more in season at least.

A brief warm spell for both my Indiana friends and here at home. However the cold will return. By late next week we will be tracking snow and cold yet again.

For some of you this warm forecast is good news. However for many of us snow and winter lovers, it's bad news. We want a white Christmas! This will be the first year since we've lived in Rochester, NY that we haven't had a white Christmas. Poor timing for a warm spell if you ask my wife and I.

So we have to improvise this year. I will be playing snow videos on my TV Christmas morning. And I'm going to post a snowfall video right here for you all as well. Check play and enjoy!

And last but not least. I'm not sure how many of you have watched the very old Christmas movie with Bing Crosby, (White Christmas) but they have a scene in that movie where they're on a train heading to Vermont and they all start singing about Snow. That movie has really grown on me. So I must share that scene with you all as well. Enjoy!

Have a great evening bloggers. And have a very Merry Christmas. Thank you all for reading. I'll check back again soon.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
