Hello hello!
Well, on this Earth Day I didn't get to do as much outside as I thought I would. I was surprised when I woke up to almost an inch of fresh snowfall covering my backyard. It is mid April!! Why will Winter not let up? All we want to do during this time of Coronavirus shutdown is walk outside and not freeze lol. I don't think that's too much to ask.
So needless to say I did not get to plant my wife's Easter Lilies like I had planned too. Hopefully soon though! Maybe by this weekend.
Now on to your Covid-19 pandemic (Good news of the day).
I found this story on the good news network and just had to share. It says and quote "These Massachusetts hospitals are drawing inspiration from the beloved Rocky movies as a means of empowering their patients who have recovered from COVID-19.
Whenever a patient has been successfully treated for the novel coronavirus and declared ready to leave the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, healthcare workers have begun calling for a "Code Rocky" over the hospital’s speaker system.
All available staffers can then gather together in the hospital hallways in order to offer a rousing round of applause to the patient as they are wheeled out of the building to the iconic theme song from the Rocky series." - The Good News Network
Here is a quick video showing all the staff cheering on the patient as they get discharged from the hospital. I absolutely love this! Rocky is one of my favorite movie series and stories. And I think it is the perfect song for anyone recovering from this virus.
Like I have said in many of my past posts on this blog. There is good news out there. You just have to go looking for it. Our media follows the mantra of "If it bleeds it leads". Well, I don't subscribe to that. I believe in sharing the good! So that's what I'm doing, and I truly hope this story finds you well.
I want to thank you all again for reading. Please continue to practice your social distancing and stay safe and happy!
