Good morning bloggers. We officially got our first snow of the season! I have to admit, I thought I got the forecasted snowfall amount wrong by around 3:pm Yesterday. At that time we had only accumulated around a quarter inch of snow. However by Thursday night we picked up the rest. I'm coming in with a total snowfall of 1.55" inches. That's pretty darn close! My forecasted range in the Rochester area was for 0.50" to 1.50" inches of total snowfall. I'll take it!
Here's a video of how things looked last night as the snow started to pick up here in the Rochester area.
You can see those medium sized snowflakes and the blowing wind. It truly looks like the middle of winter. This is why I put my outdoor Christmas lights up days ago lol. Now everything is snow covered and the wind chill is currently at 18* degrees.
I truly missed tracking the weather. And I really missed tracking Winter Weather! Snowfall totals all the way around from my forecasted snowfall map in my last post all seem to have held true to what we actually received. Basically a wide area of the 1" to 3" inches.

I'm a big lover of winter and the holiday season. Anyone who knows me already knows this. So of course after receiving our first official snow of the season I allowed myself to play a little Christmas music to celebrate. I mean just look at this pictures. Even if you're not a fan of the cold and snow, you have to agree that they are beautiful.

There is just something truly peaceful about the snow. The way it quiets everything down. The softness of it. Snow brings me peace. And I hope that some of these photos can do the same for you. If you're in an area that doesn't get snow or doesn't get much of it for that matter, I hope my sharing these videos and pictures can bring you a little joy.

That's it for now everyone. I will check back again soon. Hopefully with more winter weather to talk about. Stay well! And thank you for stopping by.

Beautiful pics always have loved the first untouched snow fall.
