Good morning bloggers. Talk about waking up to a winter wonderland. A blanket of snow is covering a good part of the country as we start our Tuesday. I have snowfall totals from both Indiana, and New York to share with you all. But first, let me start by sharing a couple storm pictures from my area in the woods.
Last night as the snow was coming down it left a nice icy winter frame for my backyard window.
Today I wake up feeling like I'm living in a postcard. Beautiful flocked trees and mountains of pillow like snow.
I've said it a few times now here on the blog but I'll gladly say it again. This is exactly why I put my outdoor Christmas decorations up early. All my lights are completely buried at this time lol.
It is a fairly heavy packing snow right now. Perfect snowman weather. I may have to head out later this afternoon with the pups and get some winter fun / exercise in. The doggos absolutely love the snow. Well, all of them but the little guy Joey. (Chihuahua). He's more of a scrooge when it comes to winter. With good reason!
Alright. Now time for the snowfall storm totals from around the area. Let's start with Indiana as I got the most storm reports from there.
You can see I actually have Crawfordsville, coming in with the highest snowfall from the area. They actually exceeded what I expected. Coming in with 4.3" inches.
West-Lafayette, not far behind with 3.0" inches. Lafayette, with 2.5". Mellott, coming in with 2.0" inches. And Indianapolis, also with 2.0" inches.
I called for a wide area of 1" to 3" inches with isolated 4" in some areas. I'd say we called it pretty darn close. I'm happy with that.
Now on to NY.
I only have two reports at this time from the Rochester, NY area. I measured 8.9" inches at my location. And Henrietta, coming in just below that at 8.6" inches. I called for a wide area of 7" to 10" inches with isolated higher amounts possible. Again I'd say we nailed it! Very happy.
That's all for now bloggers. Thanks for hanging with me during this storm. It's been a real blast tracking with you. I'll be back later on with more pictures to share. Stay safe and thanks for reading.
