Day 12 Of Coronavirus Shut Down

Take a look at that radar above. We actually had a squall line of storms move through the area today. This is fairly rare for the Rochester, NY area. We don't see a whole lot of storms like I use to in Indiana. Especially severe storms. Take a closer look at the radar above and you'll see a wind report from near the Buffalo area of 68 mph! A lot of wind damage around the Buffalo, area.

We thought we were in for it not only by looking at the radar but also looking at the sky.
Dark and ominousness. You stand in your back yard and slowly see the dark clouds overtake the sunny blue skies. The calm winds slowly pick up. Rain starts to spit and next thing you know the storm is here! Not a bad way to spend a Sunday of Coronavirus quarantine lol Tracking a storm.

The storm ended up loosing steam before it go here in the Rochester, area. Echo tops fell, Winds died out. The storm that gave near 70 mph winds in the Buffalo area ended up being your basic shower by the time it arrived here. But that's alright. It was still fun to track.

So yesterday as you all know, we recorded the podcast with my wife. The latest episode of Brain Turds (Asking A Nurse (Coronavirus) ) Speaking with my wife who is a nurse about how Covid-19 is affecting our healthcare workers. Well, the episode took off! We have had quite a few downloads. And I'm so happy that word is getting out about our hospitals and healthcare workers.

We talked in the episode about how everyone needs to do their part. While people who still have to work are out there doing their part. The rest of us need to do ours and stay home as much as possible. This all keeps coming back to the phrase you all have heard a million times. (Social Distancing).
This image above that I found on the internet shows a perfect illustration of how just one person social distancing themselves can save a bunch of lives. Please look at this image and truly think about the impact just you alone can have in this pandemic. Practice social distancing and save lives! It really is just that simple.
I hope everyone is staying positive during this pandemic. I know isolation is hard. It is hard not only physically but especially mentally. So I encourage you if you can to call friends, family etc and have conversations. Video conversations have been very helpful for people struggling with the isolation. Get outside in your back yard and feel / breath the fresh air. Take the dog for a walk. Stay positive and do things to make you feel better. Taking care of yourself is always important. And even more so now!

Stay well everyone. And thank you for stopping by my little blog.
