Hello hello!
I hope everyone is hanging in there and trying their best to relax today. Trying their best to make the most of their free time. I know it isn't under the best circumstances. But find a way to see the silver lining!
Today was a beautiful mild day in Rochester, NY. High around 60* degrees. Mostly to partly cloudy. I was able to get in a little fishing at my secrete fishing hole. (Practicing my social distancing of course). It was both relaxing and annoying. I say that because I made a cast out to the lake and started to reel in my lour. As the lour got in sight I noticed a big and I mean BIG bass chasing it. He grabbed the lour and I gave it a little jerk to set the hook. Well..... that's where things went south lol. Apparently I didn't get the hook set in enough and he spit it out... :( He was SO BIG! And I was SO CLOSE to the catch. lol. Such is fishing I guess. There is always tomorrow. lol And I will try again.
I got some needed yard work done today. I also power washed the back deck. (The dog's love to poop on it all winter apparently) Yuck lol.
And I have had a pork roast with carrots and potatoes slow cooking in the crock pot all day. Mmhmm it's gonna be good!
Now with all the news about Corona - Virus. It can be hard to find any good news. I saw a video on one of the morning shows today that I wanted to share. Because it shows the better side of humanity. A woman asked her apartment complex to sing Happy Birthday as a social distance friendly surprise to her quarantined fiancé.
Hannah Chung and her fiancé Jason live in Los Angeles where residents are asked to stay at home to slow the spread of COVID-19 just like the rest of us. Meaning apparently the couple had to cancel their wedding this weekend. Hannah didn't want Jason's 30th birthday to pass without some fun, so she wrote 76 invitations to all of their interior facing neighbors, inviting them to celebrate on Monday at exactly 2:30 p.m.
Check out the video below. It's actually pretty cool.
This kind of stuff is actually happening all over the country. People are doing scheduled sing along's etc. When coronavirus restrictions went into effect in New York City, neighbors spread joy by singing The Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" among other songs with one another from their apartment windows.
See the video below.

While finding these videos I saw a question in the comments section that kind of stuck out.
It read "Why does it take a deadly virus to bring people closer together? People should ALWAYS be kind like this.".
And that's honestly true! Here are what a few peoples answers to that question were.
First Answer - "Because we’re trying to act tough, we lived with “we don’t need anyone but ourselves “ mentality. But now , we’re all vulnerable, the native humbling human in all of us is coming out. Finally."
Second Answer - "Before this people were to busy to stop and enjoy each day."
Third Answer - "Its human nature..we always come together during tragic events..its the same with God..nobody believes in him until something bad happens..smh."
Honestly all of these answers could be true. I do find it sad that it takes a tragic event to bring some humans together. Notice I say "Some". Because not everyone is stand - off - ish. Some people practice kindness and love everyday. But per usual the bad stands out more than the good, Which is why I wanted to share some of these videos with you all today. Because during these weird and sad times, There is still good out there! Don't walk around with your eyes closed. Open them and look for the good. You won't be disappointed.
Thank you all again for stopping by and reading / supporting this blog. I really do appreciate it and enjoy sharing these stories with you.
As always I wish you all to stay well and healthy!
