Day 34 Of The Coronavirus Shutdown

Books, Books, Books! That has been one of my major pass times during this pandemic. Reading and exercise. Which I think is great. Working out the body and the mind. Staying fit in every way possible. Keeping the mind active and the body moving are two very important things. And even more important right now during this pandemic.

I have managed to read four books in the past five weeks. I'd say I'm unintentionally keeping a pretty good reading pace. I just started book number five of my quarantine reads. Which would be book number fourteen on the year. This one is a 700 page book. So it's gonna take awhile. But reading is about the journey and story. There is no reason to rush through it.
With a lot of negativity in the world mostly brought to attention through the media. We need to continue to find the good news and the joy in the world. Because there truly is a lot of it! Please don't let yourself get consumed by the negative news. Please don't be a sheep to the media. Please don't fall victim it. You're seeing on the news a lot recently about people taking to the streets protesting the shut downs in states across America.

Please don’t be fooled by Fox News, or by donald trump. What you keep seeing on TV of the protesters taking to the streets against social distancing are a small minority of Americans. And their attitudes represent a fraction of public opinion. In fact, America has done something remarkable in this moment. (It has united).

81 percent of Americans told pollsters for a Politico/Morning Consult poll that the country “should continue to social distance for as long as is needed to curb the spread of coronavirus, even if it means continued damage to the economy.”

81 percent of Americans agree. That’s an astounding figure.

An NBC poll found a lower rate at 60 percent, which is still a solid majority. Large majorities of Democrats and independents are more concerned about the virus than the economy, as are about half of Republicans. So when you see the news making it seem as though the whole country is up in arms about social distancing, it's just NOT true.

And now I want to leave you with yet another piece of good news. How about some killer banjo play from one of the coolest guys around! Steve Martin!

He played the Banjo in the woods to help calm the world during this coronavirus outbreak.
Please everyone continue to stay well and healthy. Keep social distancing and keep safe! Stay home and save lives.

Thank you for reading.
