On the evening of May 15, 140 coordinated drones launched from Vanderbilt Stadium to light the sky in formations depicting inspiring words and images in a tribute to health care heroes, frontline workers and first responders who have worked tirelessly in the aftermath of Nashville’s March 3 tornado as well as during the current global coronavirus pandemic.
The show began at 9 p.m. and lasted approximately 10 minutes. Health care workers in the area were invited to view the show safely from vantage points around campus. I personally don't understand how people get the drones to make these shapes in the sky. Some computer program I assume. But it sure is cool looking.
Also, Memorial day is coming up. Memorial day weekend kicks off tomorrow. I think this is going to be the first real test on all of us. People want to get out and celebrate with friends and family. I understand. However Covid-19 isn't taking a vacation. It is still here. And all of us must be smart when celebrating. So please remember to wear a mask when indoors. Keep at least 6 feet apart with anyone who you do not live with. And please keep gatherings (Small). Less than 6 people.
Please be smart. This virus isn't over! Stay well everyone. I will check back soon.
