Thanksgiving Was A Success

Thanksgiving was a success in my house! We had a wonderful time here in the "New household".

I woke up around 8AM and gave my buddy Mark a text. We have a tradition where we run together every year on Thanksgiving morning before starting our family food filled day. We took off around 9AM and got a nice 4 mile run in. It felt great.

After the run and the happy Thanksgiving wishes. It was time to shower and start that turkey. I usually do all of the holiday cooking in my house. My wife will help out if I specifically ask for it lol.
The turkey turned out great. Golder brown and juicy. I made Turkey, Noodles, Fresh mashed potatoes, Green bean casserole, Rolls, and we finished up dinner with some coffee and pumpkin pie. Oh it was all so so good. I'm such a sucker for holiday food.
I also have a tradition with the pups. Every time I make a bird that has the gizzard, heart and liver, I always give the heart and gizzard to the big boy Copper. While I eat the liver. All three pups get a small bit of Thanksgiving meal as well.

Look at these beautiful babies.
By the end of the day they all had full tummy's and were passed out on the couch. I have learned that he who holds the food has everyone attention hahaha. I absolutely love my little family.
After the meal was over we continued watching football and playing card and dice games. We even video called my mom back in Indiana and played some Yahtzee. In that way technology truly is amazing. Even hundreds of miles away, you can still be rather close.

All in all it was a perfect holiday. I hope all of you also had a wonderful time. I'm so thankful for my little family and all we have. We are truly blessed.

Have a great weekend bloggers. Thank you for reading. I will check back again soon. If my understanding is correct, we have a big snowstorm heading our way (Rochester) by tomorrow! So I will be tracking away.
