Day 3 Of Coronavirus Shut Down.

(Click the link below to go to the Brain Turds Podcast).

Day 3 of Coronavirus shut down. This is what I woke up to. Yes, a forecast of 60 + MPH wind gusts possible. A high wind warning in effect... Really?? This isn't what we need on top of everything else right now.
IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down some trees and power
lines. Strong winds may damage tents and temporary outdoor
structures. Scattered power outages are expected. Travel will
be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around
trees and branches. If possible, remain in the lower levels of
your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if
you must drive.

REALLY??? So we have soft ground from the winter thaw and rain. Now 60+ MPH winds forecast?? As if we haven't been dealing with enough anxiety.

Now as of writing this this afternoon, We have seen reports of near 60 mph wind gusts moving through the area. See below this report just to our west that moved through.
Thank goodness as of this point and time, the wind hasn't caused any damage. Lets hope it stays that way.

Another big big change in the Coronavirus world we live in is this.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo held a press conference earlier today to give an updated on the COVID-19 outbreak in New York and told New Yorkers which includes me to stay home.

The governor order 100% of the workforce for non-essential services to work from home. Cuomo said it is not a guideline, but a legal mandate. So basically everything is closed except for essential businesses. We are allowed to go outside but only for solitary exercises. Running, Hiking etc. Nothing in a group of people. We can go to the store but only if we are in need of supplies. It is said that this could last 90 days. three months of no work!?!? Three months of no paycheck?!?!?! Three months of life as we know it (changed). This is beyond anything I've ever seen or thought could happen. I just cannot wrap my mind around this. And it's not just in NY obviously, it's all over the country. It's all over the WORLD.

Everyone has so many questions and no answers. When will we go back to work? What will happen to the economy when this is over? How will we bounce back from this? Is life and we knew it changed forever? Question after question after question. And those I think are the easy questions! If they stop payments for home mortgage and utilities etc, so people can survive,  how do we go about paying them when this is over? Will we all owe back payments? Will our credit be affected from all of this?

Who knows? This is all uncharted territory.

So day 3 of the Corona shut down is full of even more uncertainty and question.

I feel bad for my wife during all of this. She is working as a nurse which means she is on the front lines of all of this. Seeing it first hand. While most of the country is at home not working because of the Coronavirus shut down. Worrying about money and wanting to get back to work. She is at the hospital working her ASS OFF. Being floated to other floors and being immersed in the stress and chaos of it all. I feel horrible as I'm sure a lot of other people do. Because I've had a job since I was 14 years old. I see her working her ass off and I can't do anything to help. I can have meals ready for her when she gets off work. I can give her a clean happy home to come back to at the end of the day. But I can't help financially. And I can't ease her stress at work.
These are trying times for us all. We're all in the same boat. Lets all try our best to be supportive of one another. And lets all be supper kind and thankful for all of those who are still working during this pandemic.

Stay well and stay healthy everyone.
